Brookhaven is a place that gives you a caring, warm, and home-like environment where you are supported and respected as well as safe and secure.
You will be informed of routine tests and procedure BEFORE they are offered and given information so you can make the decision about which procedures make sense for you and your baby.
For giving birth, you will have a private room where you can:
- Make yourself comfortable.
- Wear your own clothing.
- Eat when you feel hungry.
- Soak in a tub or have a water birth.
- Take photographs and record your baby’s birth
Brookhaven welcomes your children, your parents, and your friends so you can decide who will be with you or near you as you give birth.
Continuity of care
Brookhaven’s midwives are able to provide care from preconception, prenatally, through childbirth and postpartum, to menopause. For clients who are not pregnant we are able to provide gynecological care whether you are trying to conceive, hoping to avoid or are done having children. Our Certified Nurse Midwife is able to see all women for their yearly well woman exam.
Choosing to have birth at Brookhaven means that midwives will provide holistic pain management, information on infant care, breastfeeding, parenting, and family planning. Our care does not end once baby is born, we remain on-call for you for six weeks postpartum and take care of both mother and child. Including an in-home postpartum visit 24-72 hours after birth.
Brookhaven’s care is cost effective and affordable. We will work with you to set up a payment plan that fits your budget. We also bill all major health insurers and will work to get you the reimbursement you deserve.
