Sarah first started attending births as a doula after the birth of her third child. She is a graduate of the Midwives College of Utah and served for 15 years as a midwife in Washington state. She has worked in higher-risk OB care, as well as home and birth center midwifery settings. As an advocate for safety in out-of-hospital birth, she served for five years on the board of Washington Alliance for Responsible Midwifery (WARM).

Midwife Sarah’s care is described as nurturing and grounding. She came to Brookhaven after 10 years managing a busy solo midwifery practice, eager for more work-life balance and time with her grandchildren! Sarah and her husband Barry are the parents of 6 children and are thrilled to be beginning the grandparent life.
When not caring for mamas & babies, you can find her reading, canning, gardening, sewing, enjoying the great outdoors, and loving on her grandbabies.
